Bailey's Bathroom Paint Suggestions
Thanks to any of you who gave me your suggestions for our master bath! Your next assignment... Bailey's bathroom.
I'm pretty sure I know what I want to do in here already, but again, just want to get suggestions since I usually have such a hard time deciding on these things!
I found this bathroom set at a yard sale and got everything - shower curtain, hooks, tissue box cover, toothbrush holder, soap dispenser, soap bar holder, curtain, and two rugs - all for $10! And all the "linen" type things, and a couple of the other things are Pottery Barn.
Take a look at the curtain in this first picture though... it is short for some reason. I didn't realize it till I got it home. Don't know why.... did the lady cut and hem it for some reason, or was it just made like this?? I have no clue. I had come up with the brilliant idea to find some kind of repeating duck fabric and just add it to the bottom of the curtain, but it's kind of starting to not bother me so much. So who knows if I'll do that or not.

Master Bath Paint Suggestions
Okay, to all of my 3 blog readers-- I need your suggestions!
I want to paint our master bathroom, but I'm not sure what color to go with. I recently found a cute ducky themed bathroom set for Bailey's bathroom, so I took the set that was in her bathroom and moved it to ours. It is simple and neutral, but I love it so much.
I feel like I definitely need paint with some color, not just something neutral, so it doesn't look too bland in there, but I don't know what color! Please note that the green towels are just one set in my towel rotation, so I'm not necessarily committed to that color.

Look How Far We've Come, My Baby
Today is a special day for us, for a couple of reasons.
Four years ago today, we got married!
That was SUCH a special, wonderful day and holds so many awesome memories for me. I so wish I could go back and relive it. Some days, I can't believe 4 years has gone by so quickly.
And, two years ago today, we heard Bailey's heartbeat on the doppler for the first time. Now THAT's really hard to believe, that is has already been two years since that day.
Anyways, those four years have brought us here....

Meal Plan Monday
It's a fairly easy week for meal planning. I'm really getting so I have plenty of things on hand to plan the bulk of my meals for the week, so I only need to pick up a few things from the store for the week (besides to every week basics- milk, bread, etc.).
Also, Bailey and I are going out of town on Friday with Courtney & John Parker to visit Laura in Tennessee. I am really excited about a girls (plus John Parker, haha) road trip and spending the weekend with Laura! Anyways, I was a good little wifey, and planned for Anthony to eat, even though I won't be here. :)

It's Almost Here...
.... Summer, that is! Summer is just around the corner, and on one of the warm, sneak preview days, we headed outside to cool down in some watery fun.
My mom got this for Bailey at Target at the end of last summer so it was on clearance for like $8!
It is so cute and pretty easy to put up, once all the initial "blow-up" work is done. Bailey loved it! Seriously, the water was pretty cold but you never would have known that from the way she played.

Boston, Day 2
And so begins day two in Boston...
Saturay morning, we got up an had breakfast and then headed out to tour some more of Boston. It was raining and yucky when we left, but luckily the subway stop we chose came right out into a mall so we got to stay indoors for a while longer. We browsed through the mall and then headed outdoors when it looked "safe". We walked a while looking for a store that Anthony's parents had heard of, and look what we happened to come across...
Anthony says I look like a nerd in the picture, but I was really excited about it because I love libraries!
We walked a little farther and passed a beautiful, old church.
And, if I remember correctly, just about the time we finished looking at that church, is when the skies opened up and poured on us! Luckily, Anthony and I had brought along some ponchos, and there was a CVS nearby so Anthony's parents could go buy some as well. We did get soaked but continued on our journey for a while longer until we came back to the mall we started in, so we could grab some lunch. After chowing down on some delicious yummies, we headed for our final destination!
Unsuspecting, we walked around a corner, and this was our first sighting..
Such a fun moment, and I'm so glad I got to be there to experience my husband's first trip to the home of his baseball team.
Here's where we entered the park, Gate C.
Once we got inside Anthony made the comment that it was not as nice as Camden Yards (Orioles park), and that is true, but this place also had a lot more character than Camden Yards. I don't know how old Fenway Park is, but standing there, I could really imagine people from the 1950's walking through these hallways. It just had a classic "baseball feel" to it.
We arrived at Fenway plenty early, so we could walk around and see everything and view the field from all the different angles. Here's Bailey girl sporting her Red Sox hat, before the game.
And here are Daddy and Bailey standing in front of the green monster. SUCH a great picture!
In this picture we were well into the game, the sixth inning maybe. It had started POURING and they had to delay the game. It was so strange, because from where we were sitting, you could see the rain coming across the field, as in, it wasn't raining on us yet, but we could see it coming. This was a blessing from the Lord though, because Bailey was sleeping in Anthony's lap, and since we could see the rain before it got to us, we were able to get her covered without disturbing her very much, and she slept through all the hard rain. Poor Anthony though, deemed his poncho to be a "pup tent" since he wasn't really wearing it correctly, just had it on well enough to cover himself and Bailey. It kept getting foggy under the poncho since he and Bailey were both breathing in there! I wish I had a picture of it, but taking a picture was far from my mind at the time; I was just trying to stay as dry as possible!
It eventually started raining again, and I think it was the eighth inning, when the Red Sox were way behind, and Anthony finally decided that was enough rain for us! So the Sox did lose, but we had a fun time and made great memories anyways!
And lastly, here's Bailey at Logan Airport, waiting to board our plane. That's our little rinky-dink plane in the background.

Boston, Day 1
Well, I decided to split my "Boston post" up into two days so it wasn't super long.
Friday morning, we left our house before 8, in order to be at the Richmond airport by 10, as our flight was leaving at 11:22. We made it to the airport in plenty of time, and got a sandwich and fries from Applebees to share for lunch. Bailey was great on the airplane; I couldn't have asked her to be any better. We entertained her with her DVD player, her little Dora magnet drawing board thing (do you know what I'm talking about?), and a lollipop! Oh, and we had the best flight attendant and his name was Anthony! :) The pilot would come on the intercom and say, "Anthony, prepare for landing" and we would laugh, like it was directed to my Anthony. :)
Once the plane arrived in Boston, we called the hotel to have the shuttle come pick us up. We got checked in and got up to our room then gave Anthony's parents a ring, since they had already been there since about 8:00 that morning. They came and met us in our room and then we headed out on the town!
Bailey had not taken her nap yet, so she fell asleep in the stroller very soon after we left the hotel. So while she snoozed, we walked around and enjoyed the beautiful architecture!
When Bailey woke up we walked a little farther, near a park and toward a bay.
On our way back by the park, there was a carosel, and Daddy and Bailey rode on it! Bailey wasn't too sure about it the whole time, but I think she enjoyed herself.
Then we stopped back at Faneuil Hall Marketplace where we got dinner from the Quincy Market Colonnade, the largest food hall in New Englad. They had over 36 international food vendors.... oh my, my eyes were buldging at all the food! I had the hardest time on deciding what to get, and then settled on some overpriced chicken tenders and french fries, so that I could be sure Bailey would eat some of my food! Oh the things we do for our children. :)
And of course you can't skip dessert, so Anthony went and bought a big $3 cookie to top off our dinner and I'm pretty sure Bailey ate more of that than she did of the chicken tenders!
Finally we headed back to our hotel, so we could have a dip in the indoor heated pool (it was fabulous!) before we watched the Friday night game on tv. We were in bed asleep before 10 that night. I think we were a little worn out!

Showers of Blessings
Just wanted to share some blessings I've received from God this week. :)
On Tuesday I was in Walmart and saw an older lady from church there. She just came right up to me and handed me $25 and said she was trying to catch up on wedding gifts! With me not working, we don't have a lot of extra money to eat out or do "extra" things like that, so it's always nice to receive a gift like that.
Then, a little background for this next one. With summertime, comes lots of swimming and playing in water, and our hotel in Boston this weekend has a pool, which we are hoping to have some fun in. I have a couple of bathing suits for Bailey but I think they are both a little small for her. I could have (and was planning to do so) gone and looked in Zoe's old tubs of clothes and just found a suit or two in the next size up. But tonight at church my friend Kimberly, who has a little girl who is about 4 months older than Bailey, brought me a bag full of swimsuits! I haven't tried them on her yet, but I am certain at least a couple of them will fit.
In both of these instances, I told them what a blessing from God these things were. I just love how God is watching out for us, cares about the little things, and chooses to brighten our days with these blessings!

Harry Connick Jr. American Idol
Harry Connick Jr. on American Idol? Yes, please. I am definitely a fan of his. Let's see if the contestants measure up...
Aaron Kelly, "Fly Me To The Moon" - I thought it started out a little rocky. I like his "Sinatra" look tonight. The longer he's around the more he grows on me, I think. He really is a good singer, but I'm still not crazy about him. I don't know if it's his personality or his look, or what it is but something doesn't just click with him for me. He did a decent job though.
Casey James, "Blue Skies" - I'm afriad Casey may be in trouble this week. This style just doesn't fit him, and it seemed a little awkward and corny at times to me. I am pretty sure I heard some bad notes in there as well. I don't know why they don't change these songs up to fit their own styles... maybe they are not supposed to do that this week?? Anyways, it was not good.
Crystal Bowersox, "Summer Wind" - She looked beautiful and that girl can sing. She is very versatile and did a great job with something that was not necessarily "her". Really nice.
Michael Lynche, "The Way You Look Tonight" - I just need to say here that I really don't like it when they pick a singer and try to make everyone fit in that mold. I mean, I guess it does help show who is the best singer and can handle anything, but I'm not a fan of it. I like it when it's more open-ended for song choice. With that said, Michael was aweseome! He was really into it, and the vocals were perfect. Loved it.
Lee Dewyze, "That's Life" - I think this was a good song choice for him. I'm not really familiar with a lot of Sinatra songs, but I think it suited him really well. He seemed really comfortable with it. I loved the "puppet, pauper, etc." part. I'm liking Lee more and more every week as well, and am definitely a fan of his now. He did an awesome job with this song and I LOVED it. And by the way, last week, remember when I said I would buy his version of "Still the One"? Well, I did. :) It is on my ipod now!
