Baltimore Pictures
A few pictures from Baltimore.....
Bailey watching the drum guy while we were waiting for the Light Rail. She was fascinated by him and it kept her entertained while we were waiting, so I put $2 in his money bucket. :)
We bought this hat for Bailey for $8 on the street before we went into the game.

And this is probably my favorite picture from the weekend. I'm kicking myself that we didn't get a picture of all 3 of us somewhere. Oh well, there's always next time. :)

Baltimore
So we went to Baltimore this past weekend. We left on Saturday morning and we first stopped at Children's Hospital in D.C. to see Tyson and Summer. I'm so glad we got to visit and hopefully it was a little break from the same old thing for Summer just being cooped up in the hospital room all day long. Poor little Tyson was just not a happy camper, and can't say I blame him. But he is done with this first round of chemo, so hopefully he is feeling better. I know he is happy to be home with his family again. And most importantly, hopefully the chemo is doing its job and killing the cancer!
After that visit, we were on to Baltimore, to check in to our hotel. Once we got settled we headed downtown to the Inner Harbor to get some dinner. It took us about an hour and a half to get there on the light rail, because apparently some idiot (in a car) decided to try to beat the train across the track and didn't make it all the way. So we got held up several times and were just sitting there. But we finally made it and enjoyed the sights and people as we walked to the Inner Harbor. We ate dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. I didn't really care for it too much - it was way too loud, but that's where Anthony wanted to eat. Bailey fell asleep in the stroller as we were walking back toward the Light Rail and stayed asleep pretty close till the time we were back at our stop. She slept that night in the pack-n-play and did really good with that. We had a king bed and that was glorious! I wouldn't even known I was sharing a bed with someone. :) Please don't take that the wrong way, our marriage is fine (though unfamiliar city driving does not bring out the best in either one of us, haha), we just like to have our space when we sleep, you know?
Sunday morning, we get up have breakfast at the hotel, then get things packed up and hang out while Bailey has her morning nap. Then we head back downtown for the Red Sox/Orioles game, the point of our whole trip! We stopped and had lunch at California Tortilla before the game, great place to go. We were there about an hour before the game started I think. It was a really good game, lots of runs scored, some homeruns, some records I think, and some firsts for some players - a great game to watch. And Bailey was such a good girl the whole time. Of course I was up and down with her multiple times, is as to be expected. I nursed her a couple of times while we were there, in a bathroom stall, haha, and she took a nap in the stroller while I did a lot of walking around the stadium.
When the game was over, we took our time leaving, so we didn't have to compete with the crowd to get on the light rail. And I have to say, going to a Sunday game was SO much better than going to a Saturday game which is what we did 2 years ago. We had no problem getting on the light rail, and didn't have to wait to eat at either restaurant we went to. I think we will definitely be doing Sunday games when we go again. It just made me a whole lot less stressed out not to have to deal with such big crowds. So we finally got on the road between 6:30 and 7 and made it home a little after 10:00.
Bailey was SUCH a good girl the whole time, even on the car rides. She is really a very good baby and we are so blessed to have her. We had a wonderful time in Baltimore and it really actually seemed like we were there longer than a day, in a good way. Can't wait to go back again. I have pictures, but am too lazy to upload them tonight, so look for those sometime soon!

Crib Standing & Allergic Reaction?
So one day last week Bailey woke up from her nap and she was just playing happily in her crib so I let her be for a while. When I finally went in, this is what I saw...
She was standing in her crib! Sorry for the blurry picture.... active babies are hard to photograph! We had actually just lowered the mattress a day or two before because I knew that if she could figure out that was something she could do, then she would be able to do it!
And, if you are on facebook, you probably know about our allergic reaction ordeal. We think that she may have a birch-pollen allergy because she has broken out like this when eating an apple-pear mixture (but not applesauce) and bananas. It makes me nervous to try the other foods listed on the link, but she is completely happy with just eating oatmeal for every meal, so maybe we'll just stick with that for a while. The splotchiness and swelling went away very soon after she stops eating the food so at least it wasn't too serious of a reaction.
As you can see, it didn't seem to phase happy little Bailey one bit. :)

Swingset
Here are the completed pictures of our swingset! We love it and are so glad we found it. Now everywhere we go we are looking at swingsets and we like ours way better than most all of them that we see. The swingset and trampoline together cost us $600 and that was defintely a well spent $600. I am really proud of that deal as this swingset alone would cost well over $1000 new, and probably closer to $2000. A big shout out to my parents for majorly contributing to the purchase! :) Bailey, Zoe, and all your future grandchildren thank you! :)
And we finally bought Bailey a swing. I love the swing that Anthony's parents have, mostly because it has a coated chain instead of rope that will eventually get nasty and hard because of being outside in the elements, but I couldn't find one like that, so I had to settle for this one. But obviously Bailey does not mind. She LOVES to swing and I think it is something that will be entertaining her for many hours.

Weekend & Harry Potter
About this time 7 months ago I was recovering from my c-section, about to hold my baby girl for the first time. I cannot believe she is 7 months already. I have to admit, those first few months were rough, but she is getting easier and more fun all the time. I find myself looking forward to all the things we will be able to do with her as she gets older. I think that I always thought I would be so sad when the "baby baby" days were over, and I do miss how little she was, but it is just so much fun to experience new things with her as she gets older and be able to watch her learn more about the world. I am certain we have some fun days ahead of us. :)
We had a good weekend. It has been so wonderful for us all 3 to be home on Fridays. It always feels like Saturday on Friday, so we get an extended weekend. :) On Friday we went out to eat for lunch and made an expensive stop at Lowe's. We got Bailey a swing and a new storage thing for her toys in the living room (which I love by the way, pictures still to come). Saturday we went to a wedding (Paige & Stephen) which was lovely, and defintely had the best father speech I've ever heard (way to go Bo!). Sunday was church, Mom's, and then instead of regular Sunday night church, we had a picnic at Sherando Lake and baptism in the lake. It was a lot of fun and I hope we can make that an annual thing.
Then today Bailey, Mom, Zoe, and I went to the park and then to a couple of stores and then back to Mom's. Zoe and Bailey played in the sprinkler, which Bailey had a really good time with. She loves to play in water. Then when Anthony finished with school for the day, he came over to Mom's, and Mom watched Bailey for us while we went and watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and then ate dinner at Chili's. I liked the movie, of course (can't wait for the final movie(s)) and it was nice to have some "adult only" time.
On Saturday we are headed to Baltimore for a Red Sox game on Sunday. I am really looking forward to our little overnight vacation. Hopefully Bailey will do well with it.
