Fun Day

We had a GREAT day yesterday. We were going to go to the park with Mom and Zoe, but the weather was yucky, so we made alternate plans. First, we went to Burger King for lunch since they have a play place. Then we went to Target, Kohl's, and Petsmart. I didn't find anything at Kohl's, but I got some great deals at Target: Pampers diapers for 14 cents a piece and Gerber 2nd foods for 27 and 37 cents!!! I was so happy about those. Then we had a lot of fun at Petsmart, especially watching the birds and this one funny little hamster. Zoe LOVES going to the pet store.

It was such a fun afternoon and really makes me look forward to the rest of the summer!

"I Hit a Kid"

So I just had to share this funny little story from church tonight. The kids were all split up according to their grade, and we were with the group going into 10th grade next year. We had certain questions we were supposed to discuss about the past school year. One of the questions was something like "What was your most memorable moment this past year?" or something like that. Well Anthony said "I had a kid." But I heard "I hit a kid." So I'm like "You did? Did you tell me about that?" And Anthony and all the kids are looking at me like I am crazy. But no one realized where the "communication breakdown" was, because this went on probably 10 or 15 seconds before we figured out what was going on. I just couldn't believe he would do that and that I didn't know about it.... until someone repeated that he said "I HAD a kid".

Ohhhhh... that makes much more sense! They were all like, ummm, you were there, right? Haha. It was so funny I was laughing till I almost cried.

Bingo and a Good Night/Day

I forgot to blog about my Saturday evening. I'm sure you remember me blogging about my friend Malisa and her baby son Colton who passed away when he was 10 days old because he had a genetic disease? Well, her sister-in-law organized a Vera Bradley/Longaberger Bingo to raise money to help them with the medical and funeral expenses. I can't even imagine how much money something like that must cost, and then, to not have a baby to bring home after all that....

Anyways, it was a really fun time and there was a lot of people there, so I'm hoping they made a lot of money. Mom, Ashley, & Zoe came too, and none of us won anything, but I'm so glad we could contribute to their cause. Again, makes me so extremely thankful that I have a healthy little girl.

Speaking of that little girl, Bailey slept from 9:30ish to after 5:00 this morning! Wow! And I actually didn't wake up till around 5:00 and realize she hadn't been up yet. So it was good because I wasn't up like 3 times checking on her. She has been sleeping in a miracle blanket that I've been borrowing from Dawn (Amanda's sister), but amazingly enough, our little escape artist, manages to get herself out of that as well. When I went and fed her at around 5:10, she had gotten one arm out and maybe a foot (can't really remember) and had flipped herself over on her belly. Silly girl. But oh well, she slept for 7 1/2 hours straight, so I'm not complaining!

She didn't want to go back to sleep in the crib after I fed her, so she came in bed with me and I slept like a rock till she woke up about 8:00. So we had a really good night last night. :) The rest of today was good as well. We took a nap this morning then got ready for the day and had lunch. We went on a walk this afternoon and Bailey fell asleep while we were walking so when we got back home I parked her on the porch and pulled some weeds. When Anthony got home we made our grocery run to WalMart. They had Bryer's ice cream for $2.00 -- woohoo! So we made milkshakes tonight. :)

Well, I am going to get myself headed to bed. Going to work some tomorrow and my wonderful mom is going to watch Bailey for me. I am luck to have a such a great mom! :)

2 Weekends

I wanted to get in a quick update before I head to bed tonight. Last weekend we were at Anthony's parents and we had a great time. Bailey and I got to meet Anthony's Grammy and we both think she is fabulous and so glad we got to meet her. Having 13 kids (yep, you read that right, 13) she had lots of good stories to share.

Bailey had a cold over the weekend and then late during this past week she was not her normal self, extra fussy and difficult. I still don't know what that was all about. Maybe she was teething or had some kind of infection, but she seems to be back to normal pretty much, thank goodness! It is exhausting and totally stressful dealing with an extra fussy baby! It makes for a fussy mommy as well. :)

Anyways, Anthony's parents came to visit us yesterday, because we had baby dedication at church today. So we dedicated Bailey to the Lord, and ourselves to raising her in God's word and teachings. I've always looked forward to that event at church, even before I had a baby of my own. So glad I got to participate this year. :) We had a great time with Anthony's parents and are so glad they were able to make the trip.

Today, all of us (us, my parents, Ashley, Zoe, and Anthony's parents) had lunch together at Mom's. That was fun and neat since Bailey got to have both sets of grandparents at the same time! We went on a nice walk this afternoon. Bailey rode in her stroller and Zoe in her Barbie car. We think her Mom must have taught her how to drive because she's a bit on the reckless side. Hopefully she learns to pay better attention before she drives a real car. :)

Well, I need to be off to bed. I treasure every opportunity for my sleep while Bailey is sleeping in her crib these days.

May Pictures

Here is Bailey taking a bath at Grammy's. By the way, I think all these pictures are taken by Grammy! She is much better at remembering to take them than I am! I just LOVE this picture. She is such a cutie!

In the swing at Grammy and Pappy's. She loved it. Anthony is hopefully going to build us a swing set this summer so we can get a swing put up for her. Zoe has already made her suggestions for components for "her and Bailey's" swing set. :)

Hanging out outside at Grammy and Pappy's while the guys played ladder ball.

And I have a terrible look on my face in this picture! I look like I am disgusted with someone, though I promise I wasn't. But Bailey is so sweet, that it outweighs my face. :)

3 Years!

I also need to make mention that today is Anthony and my 3 year anniversary! Sometimes it seems like much longer than that! Haha. But I think that's a good thing... I think it's because I just really can't even hardly remember what life was like before him. I am so blessed to have him. He is everything I ever dreamed of. He makes me laugh all the time. He is probably the funniest person I know. He is a wonderful provider. Did you know that during the first summer we were married, he did trash collecting for his job to make ends meet? And during the past year, I discovered what a great father he is. Of course I knew he would be. :) Bailey's face lights up when he walks through the door in the afternoon.

I cannot imagine someone better suited for me. I'm not one who necessarily believes in "soul mates" or that there is only one person who God has for you. But I sure think that God made certain that our paths would cross. I have loved spending the past 3 years, day and night, with him (we still have not spent even one night apart!), and am looking forward to the years to come.

I love you Anthony! :)
