Happy Father's Day!

I know I am a little late, but I had to include the "Happy Father's Day" post to brag on my husband and father of my children for a moment.

I was in the preschool class during church yesterday, but Anthony told me that Pastor Don said that according to a survey, the typical father of a toddler spends 2 1/2 minutes with his toddler each day. I am so happy to say that Bailey's daddy spends much more time than that with her each day. He is a a great dad. Here are just a few of the reasons why...

*When he comes home from working, it is always a priority for them to have a BIG hug.

*He is always coming up with fun little sayings for them to dialogue with each other... the most recent being "I love you to the moon/I love you to the stars/I love you to the sun". It's so much fun to hear her say these things.

*He is a good disciplinarian. Since I spend most of the time with Bailey, I would say that I do most of the disciplining, however, he is always keeping me in check, making sure that I don't let her go to far, or get away with something I shouldn't be. So even when I don't agree with something he is saying, I appreciate him being the leader and making sure his girl stays on track.

*He horseplays on our bed with her/plays "hide from mommy" under the sheets, always messing up the bed, which of course drives Mommy nuts, but is definitely okay for Daddy to get away with. :)

*He is always trying to think of things that would be fun for her. I think that men are, in general, probably more in touch with their "inner child" than women are, so he's really good at remembering what would be fun for Bailey. Even if we can't afford them or they are not realistic for us right now, I like it that he is thinking this way. (ie, a pool, a bigger swingset, etc.)

*She loves to build with blocks and he builds the coolest things with her.... does a way better job than Mommy!

*Maybe most important of all is the example he is setting. He is a wonderful husband, in how he provides for his family as well as how he leads us and shows his love for us. He is setting the bar pretty high as to the kind of husband Bailey will need to look for.

I can't imagine a better husband for me or father for our children. We love you Anthony!

Yard Sale Finds

I have a blog that I follow and she always posts the yard sale deals that she finds, and I really love reading those posts from her, so I thought it would be fun to do my own!

At one yard sale I found the cutest little raincoat for $1 for Bailey. I don't usually buy her ANY clothes, because we have so many from Zoe, but we don't have a raincoat, so I had to have it. :)

Also, at the same yard sale, I got her 4 Sandra Boynton books (50 cents a piece), which we love!

We happened across one yard sale that was mostly random junk (as my husband would say, "Here, YOU throw this away!", I'm sure you know the kind I'm talking about) but I found a jewel amongst the junk.

I found a Tupperware Serving Center Set, which retails for $40 (I got it for $2)! I have always wanted one of these, but just was never willing to cough up the money for it. My mom always served condiments for tacos in hers, good memory!

And my steal of the day would be 3 nursing bras that I got for $1, total! I think one, maybe two of them will work for me. I knew they might not fit when I bought them, but I figured for $1, I couldn't pass them up.

Loving yard sale season! What good finds have you come across?

33 Weeks

I have been really slacking on the blog, including the pregnancy updates, but I'm trying to get back on board again, so here is my 33 week update...

How Far Along: 33 Weeks

Size of baby: the size of a pineapple (a little over 4 pounds) and over 17 inches

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think I am at about 13 pounds gained now

Maternity Clothes: I am liking being pregnant during the summertime since I can just wear stretchy shorts and big t-shirts!

Gender: Boy, we have a definite first name, but no middle name yet. We are keeping the name a secret till he is born. :)

Movement: Most days he is moving a lot. Definitely starting to run out of room cause sometimes it's painful!

Sleep: Still sleeping pretty well most nights, though I'm always up at least once a night for a visit to the bathroom.

What I miss: Nothing.

Cravings: Nothing really.

Symptoms: Have started noticing some heartburn a couple of times. I also got some heartburn towards the end of the pregnancy with Bailey, so I was expecting it.

Best Moment this week: It's not pregnancy related, but Anthony, Bailey, and I went to Chili's and for ice cream on Friday to celebrate our 5 year anniversary, and we had the best time. I love spending time doing fun things with the 3 of us, and I'm trying to enjoy this time as much as possible before baby comes!

29 Weeks Pic

Well, this picture is 4 weeks late, but better late than never, right?? :)
