2 Weekends
Bailey had a cold over the weekend and then late during this past week she was not her normal self, extra fussy and difficult. I still don't know what that was all about. Maybe she was teething or had some kind of infection, but she seems to be back to normal pretty much, thank goodness! It is exhausting and totally stressful dealing with an extra fussy baby! It makes for a fussy mommy as well. :)
Anyways, Anthony's parents came to visit us yesterday, because we had baby dedication at church today. So we dedicated Bailey to the Lord, and ourselves to raising her in God's word and teachings. I've always looked forward to that event at church, even before I had a baby of my own. So glad I got to participate this year. :) We had a great time with Anthony's parents and are so glad they were able to make the trip.
Today, all of us (us, my parents, Ashley, Zoe, and Anthony's parents) had lunch together at Mom's. That was fun and neat since Bailey got to have both sets of grandparents at the same time! We went on a nice walk this afternoon. Bailey rode in her stroller and Zoe in her Barbie car. We think her Mom must have taught her how to drive because she's a bit on the reckless side. Hopefully she learns to pay better attention before she drives a real car. :)
Well, I need to be off to bed. I treasure every opportunity for my sleep while Bailey is sleeping in her crib these days.
May Pictures
In the swing at Grammy and Pappy's. She loved it. Anthony is hopefully going to build us a swing set this summer so we can get a swing put up for her. Zoe has already made her suggestions for components for "her and Bailey's" swing set. :)
Hanging out outside at Grammy and Pappy's while the guys played ladder ball.
And I have a terrible look on my face in this picture! I look like I am disgusted with someone, though I promise I wasn't. But Bailey is so sweet, that it outweighs my face. :)

3 Years!
I cannot imagine someone better suited for me. I'm not one who necessarily believes in "soul mates" or that there is only one person who God has for you. But I sure think that God made certain that our paths would cross. I have loved spending the past 3 years, day and night, with him (we still have not spent even one night apart!), and am looking forward to the years to come.
I love you Anthony! :)
Bailey at 5 Months
*Waking up about 2 times a night. She nurses and goes right back to sleep. A lot of nights she ends up in bed with me early in the morning, but the number of nights she stays in her bed all night is increasing. She is still swaddled to sleep at night.
*She is ready for a nap about an hour after she gets up in the morning. Usually, unless something is going on during the day, Mommy and Bailey take this nap cuddled together on Mommy's bed. This is her only nap that is consistent. The other naps don't have a set, predictable schedule.
*She most always rolls over to her belly if she is laid on her back.
*She is getting pretty good at sitting up and I can tell that the muscles in her "trunk" are strong. She can sit up on her own for a short period of time, but is not good at balancing yet.
*Smiles easily and is generally a happy baby. Does like to be held rather than being put on the ground or somewhere on her own. But can you really blame her with such a great mom? Haha, just kidding.
*Just started oatmeal cereal last week, graduating from rice cereal (which she wasn't crazy about), and seemed to really like it at first, but then kind of hit a speed bump this past weekend while we were visiting Anthony's parents. Not sure if that was because she was not in her normal "eating place", because she was extra tired all weekend because of not napping well, or maybe the cold she had. Hoping she picks back up on it good again this week.
*Has seemed to become a little more cuddly in the past week. Will sleep on Mommy's chest again like when she was tiny. Mommy loves this by the way. :)
Well, that seems like a fairly good update of our little Bailey. I was going to post a picture but just realized I am on Anthony's computer so I don't have pics on here. I'll do it soon when I am back on my computer. Happy 5 month birthday Bailey Girl!

Quick Update
It's also been good because Anthony is done with his grad classes for the semester (got A's in both). So the past 2 Mondays I have waited till he gets home from school and then we have gone grocery shopping, and since I've been working we've also treated ourselves to a meal out. The first Monday we ate at Scotto's because I had a good coupon, and then this week we got Applebee's to go because I had a $5 off $15 coupon, so we ended up only spending like $13 for Applebees! Go us! :)
Let's see.... I am so happy Kris Allen won American Idol! I voted last night for the first time this season, and I voted a lot! I probably put him over the edge, haha. Umm, I got a haircut this evening and I like it a lot. Shorter, and I don't know why I don't keep it like this all the time, I like it so much better.
Friday we are heading to VA Beach because Anthony's Grammy is in town until next week! I have never met her yet, and it's been probably at least 5 years since he has seen her. And obviously Bailey has not met her. So I'm really excited about that.
Not this coming weekend, but the one after, on May 31st, we are having baby dedication at church, so Bailey will be dedicated then. Looking forward to that.
I am supervising detention at Ridgeview tomorrow and it'll probably be 5 hours... ugh. NOT looking forward to that. But it's easy money I guess.
So that's about all my updating I think. I am just so crazy about being mommy to Bailey, and love our life. I actually almost started crying this morning when I was laying in bed with Bailey for our nap, because I was just so overwhelmed with happiness to have her in my arms, and loving my life right now.

Mom
So I had seen this thing on facebook but since my baby doesn't talk (except for babbling) it doesn't work for me. But I saw it on a blog I read today, and she is kind of in the same situation, so she did it for her mom instead. So I thought I'd do that since tomorrow is Mother's Day!
1. What is something mom always says to you? "I love you"
2. What makes mom happy? her family, especially her two beautiful granddaughters
3. What makes mom sad? ummm....when something bad happens to one of us
4. How does your mom make you laugh?
5. What was your mom like as a child? Obviously I didn't know her then, but I know she had farm animals, and she used to dress up her little baby kitten in doll clothes, haha.
6. How old is your mom? 53, I mean 30 :)
7. How tall is your mom? maybe 5'5" ish
8. What is her favorite thing to watch on TV? I think she likes Hallmark movies, but she is always saying how there are so many channels, and nothing good is ever on!
9. What does your mom do when you're not around? Takes care of Zoe, work, keep up with housework and yardwork
10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for? Killing an obstinate kid from school, haha, just kidding, she would be famous for her strong faith I think
11. What is your mom really good at? soon, she is going to be very good at Microsoft Excel :)
12. What is your mom not very good at? she doesn't put enough sugar in her tea, but that's not really cause she's not good at it, that's more because she has more health sense than that, haha
13. What does your mom do for her job? she is the secretary/receptionist at Ridgeview Christian School, as if being a wife, mom, and grandmother were not enough
14. What is your mom's favorite food? I really don't know, anytime I ask what she wants, it's always "what everyone else wants"
15. What makes you proud of your mom? How strong of a person she is and how much "crap" she has been through, and come out a stronger person
16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be? Ummm... no idea really, maybe Wilma Flintstone, because she used to have red hair :)
17. What do you and your mom do together? eat, shop sometimes, just hang out at her house
18. How are you and your mom the same? We both are overly emotional
19. How are you and your mom different? She is skinnier than me, go Mom! But I'm getting there, haha.
20. How do you know your mom loves you? Well, for one, she tells me a lot. But also I know that if I ever need anything, she would drop everything to be there for me.
21. What does your mom like most about your dad? ??? not sure ???
22. Where is your mom's favorite place to go? NOT Disney World, haha

Bailey-isms, Loving Life, Salsa
There are some "Bailey-isms", some physical characteristics about Bailey, that just make her Bailey, that I love. She has a vein that runs across the bridge of her nose that you can always see. There is also a little line, kind of a very shallow indention, that runs down the end of her nose. It's so cute. And then she has a round little indentation on her left ear, it is circular, and almost makes it look like her ear is pierced! I just love these little things that make Bailey, Bailey. :)
Next, I guess just this past week or so, maybe it's been since I have been swaddling Bailey again, so we've both been sleeping better, I feel like I have really started to LOVE being a mom and staying home with her. Not that I didn't like it before, but it's just been growing on me even more. We're getting into more of a routine. The time she wakes up in the morning varies, but usually, about an hour or a little more after she wakes up, she is ready for her morning nap. I SO look forward to that. Not just because I am tired and want to sleep, but because I am taking a nap WITH her. We've been napping in my bed and I just love cuddling with her during that time.
She also comes in bed with us early in the morning, the past few mornings it's been a little after 5, otherwise she wakes up very often in her crib, so it's easier to bring her into bed with me since she sleeps better, but I have to be honest. I LOVE that time too. Maybe I'll be sorry one day, when she is 4 years old and crawling into bed with us, but oh well. I love that song "It Won't Be Like This for Long" by Darius Rucker. I nearly cry everytime I hear it. Before we know it, she's going to be all grown up so I really want to just soak up every second of this time while we still have it. I am SO glad to be a mom and feel so incredibly blessed that God has given us a healthy, happy little girl.
Another reason that I think I am starting to love my life now, is that she is able to entertain herself for longer periods of time, so I am able to have breaks to do other things. So the other day, I made salsa! I came across a blog that had the recipe for Chili's salsa, which I love, so I decided to make it. It is pretty close to the real thing, and it was SO easy to make.
Well, I need to get to bed. I am working some tomorrow. I don't like working too much, since I am enjoying staying at home with Bailey, but I feel like I need to do this to contribute some money and I also want to be able to help them out since they've been so good to me. But Ashley can't watch Bailey tomorrow, so she is coming with me. :) And it's the start of the weekend tomorrow, the last weekend that Anthony has to do work for his grad school class, and then he'll be done till September, yay!
